The Department of Conservative dentistry mainly focuses on treatment of damaged hard tissues of tooth, which involves dental caries, diseases of dental pulp, and diseases in root apex. The treatment relieves tooth-related pain of the patients and recovers main functions of teeth, which is mastication and pronunciation, also helps recover aesthetics disharmony of teeth. In our department, two professional professors are in charge of the treatment.

The area of treatment includes dental pulp capping for preserving dental pulp, the restoration using tooth-colored composite resin and glass ionomer, porcelain restoration using CAD/CAM, crown restoration, bleaching of discolored tooth, root canal treatment, periapical surgery with dental microscope, tooth replantation and tooth transplantation.
